The Coalition for a new regional hospital in Drummondville asks the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, to visit the Sainte -Cross.

According to the group led by the mayor of Drummondville, Stéphanie Lacoste, the minister could thus better understand the need to replace this hospital complex.

The Coalition, notably composed of doctors, wants the project to be included in the Quebec Infrastructure Plan (PQI) as quickly as possible so that the x27;study of the file promised during the last provincial electoral campaign is getting underway.

There is a promise that was made to put it in the PQI by 2026. It is certain that the Coalition hopes that this can be brought forward so that work can be launched as quickly as possible. This is what we shared with our local deputies, our concerns, and the progress of our work as well. We reiterated our desire for Minister Dubé to come and see for himself the obsolescence of the place, supports the mayor of Drummondville.

Sainte-Croix Hospital was originally built in the late 1940s.
