A grenade and ammunition were found during a search of a military blogger suspected of fraud

Investigators have reported a new suspicion to a military blogger, who was found to have a grenade and ammunition during a search. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

The ammunition was seized back in November during a sanctioned search. At the same time, the blogger was suspected of fraud committed under martial law. According to the investigation, he embezzled at least 350 thousand hryvnias from the collection of 3.5 million hryvnias, which were planned to be used to purchase five mortars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In December, investigators collected enough evidence to announce another suspicion — for illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In addition, law enforcement officers filed a motion to change the preventive measure from house arrest to detention.

The blogger faces up to seven years in prison.
