A first goal for Eichel, a victory for Buffalo

(Buffalo) Jack Eichel broke the deadlock at 7:31 in the middle period and the Buffalo Sabers won 3-2 over the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

Victor Olofsson relayed in the enclave to Eichel who hit home with a shot on reception, on the power play.

It was a first goal for Eichel this season. In the dungeon was K’Andre Miller, scorer of the Rangers’ second goal.

Dylan Cozens and Tobias Rieder also scored for the Sabers.

They deserved a first win at home this season, on three occasions.

Chris Kreider was the other scorer for the Rangers, who lost a fourth straight game.

Winning goalkeeper Linus Ullmark made 28 saves, seven more than Alexandar Georgiev.

Rasmus Ristolainen of the Sabers competed in a 500e match in the National League. He was an accomplice to Cozens’ goal.
