A local resident was found guilty of theft, robbery and fraud committed repeatedly (Part 4 of Article 185, Part 4 of Article 186, Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) on public charges by the juvenile prosecutor of the Zhytomyr District Prosecutor's Office (Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

He mainly “specialized” in stealing phones from minors and minors.

The young man approached teenagers and, under a fictitious necessity (to call a taxi, to chat with an acquaintance), asked to use the phone, sometimes promising to pay for it. As soon as the gadget was in his hands, he hurriedly left the scene of the crime. His criminal collection included not only budget but also expensive models.

He handed over stolen and looted items to a pawnshop, and used the money received for his own needs. In total, the convicted person caused material damage to the victims in the amount of almost 50 thousand UAH.

The verdict has not yet entered into force.
