A 20-year-old blogger crashed an expensive McLaren and broadcast it online

The latest videos of influencer and streamer Jack Doherty are like an onion, on which new and new examples of ridiculous and dangerous behavior appear layer after layer.

Recently, Doherty was live-streaming behind the wheel of his McLaren in the rain, checking his phone and responding to viewers, when he lost control and crashed into a guardrail. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but Doherty has been removed from his streaming platform Kick for violating the platform's security rules, writes The Drive.

These shots bring up some particularly embarrassing moments. First, Doherty was behind the wheel of a powerful supercar that commands all the attention in itself – yes, even with the safety systems on. Second, it's raining, so even more reason to be especially careful and attentive. Third, he's texting or whatever he's doing on his device. This is absurd in itself. In addition, his operator/passenger is broadcasting live, as if demonstrating his recklessness in front of the entire audience. You can hear the engine revs as he loses control, hydroplans, and crashes into a guardrail.

However, after the crash, instead of stopping the recording or broadcast to check if everything is okay with his buddy in the passenger seat, he continues to broadcast his panic,and passers-by rush to help. He even asks one of the rescuers to hold his phone and record how they help him through the window.

Freed from the car, he continues to film the aftermath of the accident, complaining about the damage to his car, while his passenger remains in the mangled McLaren, holding his hand and bleeding from the head. He asks his friend: “Yo, Michael, are you okay?”, but his concern does not end there. After Michael was helped out of the car, Dougherty even asked him to hold the phone and broadcast, even though he clearly had a head injury.

Unsurprisingly, Kick forbid Dougherty from using his platform. Part of Kick's community rules states: “Keep safety in mind: Put your safety and the safety of those around you first by avoiding unsafe behavior.”

Obviously, Doherty is not followed the rule by texting while driving, endangering other drivers, attracting a ton of negative media attention, and possibly breaking the law (it's unclear if he was speeding at the time of the accident or was ticketed), all while live broadcast on Kick.
