ZUS is preparing a nice surprise for some retirees.

ZUS confirms. Some pensioners will receive money just before Christmas

As reported by the “Goniec” portal, the Social Insurance Institution is preparing a nice surprise for seniors. Seniors can expect to receive their money before Christmas, which is associated with expenses. When will unusual transfers reach seniors' accounts? Who can count on them?

Unusual transfers from ZUS

Christmas is a time when our expenses increase slightly. For some seniors, ZUS is preparing a surprise in the form of an unusual transfer. We are talking about seniors who receive their benefits at the end of December. More importantly, some seniors will see a higher amount in their accounts.

Seniors whose pension is paid on the 25th of the month can count on earlier transfers from ZUS. Since this day is a statutory holiday in December, no transfers are made then. That is why this month the benefits will reach seniors' accounts earlier, on Monday, December 23 or Tuesday, December 24.

January pensions will also go to seniors earlier

The date of payment of benefits for people receiving a pension on the 1st day of the month will also change. The first day of January is a public holiday, so seniors will receive their benefits earlier. They will be paid to them in December. This will happen on Monday, December 30 or Tuesday, December 31.

A similar situation applies to January benefits for seniors who receive them on January 5 or 6. Since January 5 falls on a Sunday in 2025, and Epiphany is a public holiday, the transfer will reach them on Friday, January 3.
