The case of a man who posted on social media the movement of military equipment was referred to court

The Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against a resident of Mukachevo district for the fact of distributing information about the movement of weapons, armaments and ammunition through the territory of Ukraine, if such information was not placed (distributed) in the public domain (Part 1 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused had previously photographed the movement of military equipment in the region. Later, he published these photos in a public community of one of the messengers.

At the same time, information about the transportation of cargo on the official websites or pages of the Ministry of Defense or the Armed Forces of Ukraine in social networks was not distributed.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the SBU Department in the Zakarpattia region. The court has already scheduled a preparatory hearing in the proceedings.

According to the sanction of the article, the man may face punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 5 years.
