According to Elon Musk, the account is now classified as “dangerous for work”.
Elon Musk, who owns X (formerly Twitter), has confirmed that the public “will no longer see” rapper Kanye West's account. His page was deactivated after the musician posted dozens of offensive anti-Semitic, misogynistic and racist comments over three days, writes Daily Mail. However, shortly before deleting the page, West managed to thank Musk for “giving him a chance to speak out.”
“Given what he posted, his account is now classified as NSFW [not safe for work]. You should no longer see it,” — the tech mogul said.
In his last tweet, West wrote:
“I'm quitting Twitter. I'm grateful to Elon for allowing me to speak. Using the world as a resonator has been very cleansing. It's been like an ayahuasca journey.
Love you all for giving me energy and attention. So [sic] we can connect again. Good afternoon and good night.”
The artist stressed that he is “in good shape” morally and that the controversial comments, which were condemned as racist, sexist, incompetent, misogynistic and ignorant by social media users and many celebrities, left him feeling at peace after saying everything he wanted to.
At the Super Bowl, which took place on February 9, West surprised the audience with a strange video recorded on an iPhone at a dental clinic. In it, the rapper advertised the website of his clothing brand, which at that time only sold a swastika T-shirt.
He claimed that he had to shoot the commercial on his mobile phone after he spent his entire budget for the Super Bowl commercial on his “new teeth”.
“I spent all the money on the commercial for these new teeth. So I had to shoot it on the iPhone again,” the scandalous musician said, smiling at the camera and putting on sunglasses.
Kanye has not been able to get out of a series of scandals after his wife Bianca Censori appeared completely naked in front of the cameras at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Despite the huge backlash, which even the ceremony's boss reacted to, West is proud of what he did. He even boasted that the number of searches for his wife's name exceeded those for the award winners. Now, he's making a film with Bianca Censori about the female body.
