Technical characteristics of the American NMESIS combat anti-ship system revealed

The US National Guard has officially received a new mobile anti-ship missile system NMESIS. It provides precise strikes on naval targets at long distances and is almost invisible to enemy radars. This significantly enhances the US ability to prevent maritime threats.

It is reported that on November 26, 2024, the US Marine Corps officially received the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS). This is an innovative mobile missile system for anti-air operations.

With a range of 185 km, the missile is capable of striking enemy ships at considerable distances. This makes it a powerful weapon for combating maritime threats, especially in the Indo-Pacific region.

A feature of this system is its ability to operate with minimal radar visibility due to the low radar reflectivity and low flight of the missile. This allows NMESIS to effectively evade detection and interception, increasing the likelihood of a successful strike even on well-protected targets.

The system provides mobility and flexibility, allowing it to quickly move the installation to different positions depending on the tactical situation. This is especially important during expeditionary operations, where operational adaptation to changing conditions on the battlefield is important.

At the same time, NMESIS significantly increases the chances of success in multi-domain operations, where data from sea, air and space assets are used to precisely guide missile strikes.

With the introduction of NMESIS, the United States has significantly strengthened its air defense capabilities. They are also ready for effective strikes on enemy ships and the protection of strategic sea lanes.
