The camera unit on the Google Pixel 9 Pro smartphone may fall off

A user of the flagship Pixel 9 Pro smartphone complained about the poor build quality of the smartphone, whose camera module began to peel off after six months. This was reported by the WCCFTech portal with a link to a post on the Reddit forum.

What you should know

The owner of the Pixel 9 Pro published a photo showing the device's rear camera peeling off from the case. He claims that the smartphone was always in a case and did not receive significant damage.

According to the user, the reason for the camera detachment could be moisture. After the cameras began to fog up, he left the device in the bathroom. As a result of moisture, one edge of the camera began to move away. Such behavior of the device may indicate poor build quality and materials used in this model.

Some users noted that they had encountered similar problems, which increases doubts about the durability of the device. However, the owner previously had a Pixel 7 Pro, with which, despite frequent use near water, such problems did not arise.

It is noteworthy that modern Google Pixel smartphones have a high level of protection according to the IP68 standard, which guarantees reliable protection against moisture penetration into the device.
