The most popular browsers in the world for PCs have been named

Analysts from Statcounter have published a fresh report reflecting the current situation in the global browser market. According to new data, after a period of strengthening its positions, Microsoft Edge showed a decline, while one of its competitors, on the contrary, increased its audience.

What is known

According to the results of November 2024, Google Chrome is expected to remain the leader, increasing its share by 1.09%, thereby “capturing” a record 66.31% of the desktop browser market for this year.

In second place – Microsoft Edge with a market share of 12.87% (a drop of 0.69% compared to last month). The browser's overall growth since November 2023 is also small: then its market share was 11.23%.

Safari continues to hold third place with a figure of 9.13% (+0.07%). It is followed by Mozilla Firefox, which has slightly improved its position and “captured” 6.45% of the market (+0.06%), and the top five is rounded out by the Opera browser with a figure of 2.81% (-0.39%).
