US destroyers destroy Houthi missiles and drones that attacked American ships in the Gulf of Aden

US Navy destroyers shot down seven missiles and drones fired by Yemeni Houthi rebels at warships and three US merchant ships that the destroyers were escorting in the Gulf of Aden.
This is reported by the AR.

US Central Command said on Sunday that the destroyers USS Stockdale and USS O'Kane shot down and destroyed three anti-ship ballistic missiles, three drones and one anti-ship cruise missile missile.

No damage or injuries were reported.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack and said their targets were US destroyers and «three supply ships belonging to the US military in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden».

The Houthis have been targeting shipping in waterways that carry $1 trillion in goods annually for months, citing the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and Israel's ground offensive in Lebanon.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shot down a ballistic a missile that the Houthis from Yemen launched at the country on Sunday morning.
