German President gives advice to AfD supporter Musk

Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier commented on the appearance of American billionaire Elon Musk at an event of the far-right Alternative for Germany.

Steinmar said this during a visit to the Holocaust memorial in Auschwitz on Monday, January 27, reports “European Truth” with reference to Welt.

The German President was asked to comment on Musk's statement in a video address for an AfD election event, where he criticized Germany for “paying too much attention to past guilt.”

“I don't think Musk is waiting for my advice. But my belief remains the same: responsibility has no end,” – Steinmeier said.

He recommended that anyone who believes that Germany's responsibility for the Holocaust can be drawn to “come here now and seek dialogue with those who survived” those events.

Steinmeier also noted that places like the former Nazi extermination camp teach us to “handle the experience of National Socialist tyranny with caution.”

According to a poll, most Germans believe that Musk's support for the far-right Alternative for Germany has had a positive impact on the party's position ahead of the February 23 snap election.

With a month and a half to go before the snap election, the party shows an increase in ratings.
