Google improves search for convenience on smartphones

Google has announced a small change in the design of its branded search results on mobile devices. The company decided to remove an unhelpful element so as not to clutter the already small screens of smartphones with information.

What is known

From now on, Google's search results on mobile devices will no longer show the full URL of each link in the list. Instead, only the domain name of the site to which the link leads will be displayed. The company explains its decision by saying that due to the small screen size, the URL is often truncated, and therefore it is of no practical use.

At the same time, the desktop version of the search engine will still display the full URL to each link. The change affects all languages and regions where Google Search is available.
