Windows 11 will get a new, faster way to share files

The recently released Windows 11 operating system build number 22635.4805 from the Beta Channel contains several interesting innovations that may appeal to users.

What to know

In addition to officially presented features such as Snap improvements and a keyboard-gamepad, enthusiasts have discovered that Microsoft is developing an unusual new way to share files. A user with the nickname @phantomofearth shared his discovery on social media, showing that the new build allows you to share files with different applications by simply dragging objects to the top of the screen.

After that, a panel with applications such as Outlook and Phone Link will appear on the screen, which allows you to quickly drag a file to share. It is important to note that this change does not conflict with the Snap Layouts feature, as it only works when dragging windows, not files.

At the time of publication, Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement about the new quick way to share files, but users can try it out if they have build 22635.4805 installed.
