More than 24 million people watched the broadcast of Trump's inauguration

The broadcast of the inauguration ceremony of US President Donald Trump attracted more than 24 million viewers on Monday.

A presidential inauguration in the US marks the end of one president's term and the beginning of the next. A key part of the ceremony is the swearing-in of the president-elect.

According to Nielsen estimates, an average of 24.6 million people watched the broadcast of Trump's inauguration from 10:30 a.m. local time to 7 p.m. The event was broadcast live on 15 television networks.
