Spain's Deputy Prime Minister to Quit Twitter Over Musk's Behavior at Trump's Inauguration

Deputy Prime Minister of Spain Yolanda Diaz will quit using the social network Twitter, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, due to the latter's behavior during the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Deputy Prime Minister of Spain Yolanda Diaz in an interview with TVE.

As Diaz noted, she made the decision due to Musk's behavior during Trump's inauguration, in connection with that she does not plan to “continue to promote hatred”.

“I have made this decision, which I know is difficult, but I will not be part of a social network based on the use of algorithms that encourage xenophobic ideas, are against human rights and encourage the far right in the world,” she said.

She also added that other ministers from her left-wing Sumar party have made a similar decision about using Twitter.

Inauguration Trump

Yesterday, January 20, Trump's inauguration took place in Washington, allowing him to officially take office as head of the White House. Musk was also present at the event, and he was noted for making a gesture similar to the Nazi “Sieg Heil” during his speech. Responding to critics, the billionaire said that he was tired of the “everyone is Hitler” style attacks.
