Bitcoin once again broke its all-time high: how much is the coin worth

The price of Bitcoin soared to a new all-time high on the day of the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States of America (USA) Donald Trump.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to CryptoPotato.

Over the last day, the coin has added about several thousand dollars and as of 10 am it costs 107.8 thousand dollars (4.54 million hryvnia).

As the publication writes, in recent days the cryptocurrency has experienced a “mad race” after Trump launched his own meme coin on Friday, December 17. In particular, yesterday, January 19, the future first lady Melania Trump launched her own coin, after which Bitcoin fell below $100,000.

As of now, the market capitalization of Bitcoin exceeds $2.1 trillion, making it the seventh largest asset.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that operates without intermediaries such as banks or governments. It is based on blockchain technology – a distributed database where all transactions are recorded.

Bitcoin is used for online payments, investments and capital preservation. Transactions take place directly between users. Digital wallets are used to store cryptocurrency. Due to the instability of the exchange rate, Bitcoin is considered a risky but promising asset.
