More and more degrowth fans are choosing to slow down their pace of life for the good of the planet. Journalist Maxime Corneau de Carbone went to meet them to understand the movement.

For Alix and Bianka, economic growth inevitably leads us to environmental problems. The degradation of ecosystems, the increase in greenhouse gas emissions and pollution are three examples of phenomena fueled by consumption and the race for economic growth.

A simpler lifestyle does not only have environmental benefits, however. It is also, for Alix and Bianca, an opportunity to have more free time and to get more involved in their community.
