Poland received the first batch of Abrams tanks in the latest version from the US

Poland received the first 28 Abrams tanks in the latest version M1A2SEPv3 from the US, which were delivered to the Republic of Poland by sea.

This was announced on the social network X by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Wladyslaw Kosyaniak-Kamysz, Ukrinform reports.

«The first tanks in the M1A2SEPv3 Abrams version are already in Poland. 28 Abrams tanks after transportation by sea will undergo inspection, and then they will enter the Polish army. In total, we will have 250 such Abrams tanks, – informed Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The Polish Ministry of Defense has purchased 250 Abrams tanks in a new version for approximately $4.75 billion. The Polish army already has 116 Abrams tanks of older models.

As Ukrinform reported, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Poland has transferred 1,300 units of military equipment to Ukraine, including tanks, self-propelled guns, aircraft, and helicopters. The total value of the military aid sent exceeds 4.5 billion euros.

Poland previously signed an agreement with South Korea to purchase about a thousand K2 tanks, more than 600 K9 self-propelled artillery mounts and about 300 K239 self-propelled guns, as well as 48 FA-50 fighters.
