Defense technology startup L3Harris Technologies unveiled updated capabilities for its T7 robotic drone detection and neutralization system during the Vanguard 24 exercise at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The system is already widely used to neutralize explosive devices, and now includes a new anti-drone module that allows it to detect and neutralize them remotely, writes Army Recognition.
The T7 system is equipped with an additional CORVUS module designed to monitor, analyze and decode electronic signals, which significantly expands its capabilities in the field of electronic warfare and cyber defense. Thanks to its versatility, the T7 can adapt to difficult operating conditions, ensuring high efficiency in unpredictable environments.
The robot can overcome steep slopes of more than 45 degrees, reach a maximum speed of more than 8 km/h and have an autonomy of up to 8 hours of operation on 12 BB-2590 batteries. It is also equipped with multiple cameras, including a PTZ camera with 120x optical zoom, which provides a wide view for performing tasks with high precision.
During the demonstration at Vanguard 24, the robot demonstrated its ability to operate effectively in conditions of threats from drones and electronic attacks. Thanks to its modular design, the T7 can be quickly adapted to perform a variety of tasks, from vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices to special missions.
The T7 system is already actively used by the armed forces of the United States, Great Britain and Australia. Its advanced functions and reliability make it an essential tool for modern combat operations, allowing it to effectively counter threats in fast-changing battlefield conditions.
