The best photos of Ukrainian nature/Vadym Yunyk
The organizers of the “Wiki Loves the Earth” photo contest have selected the ten best photos of Ukrainian natural heritage in 2024. Ukraine took second place in terms of the number of uploaded photos among all 57 countries participating in the contest.
The photos represent various protected areas of the regions of Ukraine and introduce the beauty of Ukraine's nature. This was reported by the press service of the NGO “Wikimedia Ukraine”.
The top ten photos of protected areas of Ukraine included photos taken in Odessa, Lviv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Zhytomyr regions and the currently occupied part of Kherson region.
This year, the competition was held for the second time during the full-scale invasion. Ukraine took second place in terms of the number of uploaded photos among all 56 participating countries.

“Wiki Loves the Earth” is a photo contest on the theme of natural heritage. It was first held in Ukraine in 2013. Its goal is to collect photos of protected areas of Ukraine to illustrate articles in Wikipedia. In 2014, the project became international.
