The ICC has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant. This is stated on the court's website.
It is known that the Court's Chamber ruled on two requests filed by Israel on September 26, 2024. In the first request, Israel challenged the Court's jurisdiction over the situation in the State of Palestine in general and with respect to Israeli citizens in particular, on the basis of Article 19 (2) of the Statute.
The House issued arrest warrants for two individuals, Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant, for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed between at least October 8, 2023 and at least May 20, 2024. They are charged with war crimes, namely starvation as a method of warfare, and crimes against humanity in the form of murder, persecution and other inhumane acts.

In particular, because of this, children and other wounded patients were subjected to painful operations without anesthetics and anesthesia machines, including amputations.
— The Chamber also found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Netanyahu and Mr. Galant bear criminal responsibility as civilian commanders for the war crime of intentionally attacking a civilian population, — the ICC website states.
In particular, this concerns the activities of Israeli government bodies and armed forces against the civilian population in Palestine.
It is noted that the arrest warrants are classified “secret” to protect witnesses and ensure that the investigation is carried out.
BAGNET recalls that in May of this year, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, requested arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and three leaders of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
