A TAP Air Portugal plane was stuck at Ponta Delgada airport in the Azores for almost a week. All because more than 100 hamsters escaped in the luggage.

For five days in a row, a TAP Air Portugal plane did not leave Ponta Delgada airport (Portugal). After all, 132 hamsters on board escaped. This is reported by Correio da Manhã.

The plane was flying from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada in the Azores. It was transporting cages with animals, including hamsters, that were to arrive at pet stores.

However, after landing, it turned out that one of the cages was damaged and the rodents inside had run away. So the return flight, which was scheduled for the next day, was canceled.

It took five days to catch all the escapees, and the plane eventually returned to Lisbon.
