Quiet and safe: presenting a wind wall for generating energy at home

The aesthetic system Eolic Wall Turbine consists of vertical wind turbines, capable of catching wind from any direction.

New York designer Joe Doucet created the Eolic Wall Turbine system, which is a wall of vertical turbines capable of generating electricity for the house. ECOticias portal writes about it.

The Eolic Wall Turbine is reported to have an output of 2 to 10 kW. Unlike conventional wind turbines, this system is quiet, safe for children and designed for low-cost installation in homes.

The turbines are designed to collect wind from any direction, ensuring a constant flow of energy. Their main advantage over solar panels is the ability to generate at night. The system can be integrated with a utility or combined with a battery for energy storage.

The authors of the article noted that the Eolic Wall Turbine is inferior in efficiency to industrial three-blade wind turbines. In addition, the wall of turbines cannot capture strong coastal winds like larger turbines, since it is located at ground level. This means that it can generate only a fraction of the declared peak power.

At the same time, the publication emphasized that one of the advantages of the Eolic Wall Turbine is aesthetics. As a kinetic sculpture, this system can be a decoration for the garden and other outdoor spaces.

“On its own or combined with solar panels as an integrated system, the Eolic Wall Turbine appears to be a good auxiliary energy source and an element that can improve the aesthetics of outdoor living spaces,” — the article states.
