Young Norwegian shared information with Russian and Iranian authorities

On November 20, a man in his 20s was arrested in Norway and charged with intelligence activities.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Oslo District Court, which NRK drew attention to.

According to the court's decision, the young man was detained on Wednesday, and during interrogation he admitted that he shared information with Russian and Iranian authorities.

The arrested man is charged with two counts of illegal intelligence activities (violation of state secrets and harm to the interests of other states), for which 10 and three years of imprisonment are provided, respectively.

NRK established that the accused, together with another Norwegian who is from Eastern Europe, owns a company that allegedly provides security services to embassies.

The lawyer for the detainee confirmed to the broadcaster that his client had been detained, but stated that he did not agree with the charges.

On Thursday, November 21, the Oslo District Court ordered that the young man be placed in temporary detention for two weeks.
