Well-known analyst Jeff Pu shared fresh details about Apple's upcoming smartphones. In his note to investors, he revealed information about what changes await the iPhone 17 line.

According to the expert, Apple will change the design of its devices next year. However, you should not expect radical innovations. Jeff Pu claims that the iPhone 17 will use “more complex aluminum inserts”. In addition, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will receive a reduced Dynamic Island notch. This will be possible thanks to the use of metalins in the proximity sensor. At the same time, the rest of the iPhone 17 line will retain the old Dynamic Island.

The analyst also said that the Apple A19 and A19 Pro chips will be manufactured using an improved 3-nm process called N3P. This technology will reduce the number of defects during production and increase the energy efficiency of processors. At the same time, according to Jeff Pu, the first 2-nm chips will appear in Apple devices no earlier than 2026. Earlier, information appeared on the network that TSMC had already begun to master this process, and mass production of 2-nm processors could start next year.

The analyst also mentioned the iPhone 17 Air. This smartphone will replace the iPhone 17 Plus model. The key feature of the new product will be a thin body. Jeff Pu claims that its thickness will be only 6 mm, which will make the device one of the thinnest in Apple's history.
