Ukrainian TV shows of the late 90s – early 2000s are undeservedly forgotten, because among them there are real masterpieces! Everyone dreamed of shikaing with Kuzma, getting acquainted with Passport and galloping across Europe.

To your attention, favorite Ukrainian programs of the early “zero”. Catch a dose of nostalgia on World Television Day, celebrated on November 21!

Let's Scream

This program made the dream of a whole suitcase of money come true! Host Andriy Kuzmenko offered participants 20 thousand hryvnias. Just imagine how crazy this amount was in 2006. At the same time, half of the money had to be spent in 200 minutes: 5 thousand on services and 5 thousand on purchases. If the participant managed to meet the deadline, he received the remaining 10 thousand in prize money and all the purchases. But, believe me, not everyone managed to win!

Fort Boillard

The telegame, which took place in a fortress near the coast of France, quickly gained popularity all over the world. Soon, Ukrainians also began filming their own version. The essence of the game was to complete all the quests and sometimes even dangerous tasks in order to collect as many keys and clues as possible to solve the code word. The main prize in Fort Boyard was money. Only the smartest teams managed to get it, because it was not easy to outwit the Wise Molfar (Bohdan Stupka) and Passepartout.

Patriot Games

Ukrainian stars defended the honor of Ukraine in multinational competitions in France: four teams, crazy competitions and even a real bullfight! During the season, the team played 10 qualifying games, then 2 semi-finals and the final. All stages consisted of relays, in which it is necessary to show ingenuity, courage and physical endurance. The more points the team scores during the game, the higher the bar was for the first participant in the final challenge called “Slide”.

Galloping Europe

Every season, this program changed the concept, but the essence remained the same. Host Ihor Pelikh and his assistant Fozzi were simply on the streets of the city looking for a person who would agree to go to one of the countries of the world on vacation (Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Cyprus…). The highlight of the program was that the participant had 200 minutes to say goodbye to work, pack for the trip and find a companion. At the same time, do it faster than the rival team. Whoever succeeds first wins.

SV-show

The legendary program with favorite presenters was broadcast on television from 1997 to 2001. Verka Serdyuchka and her constant assistant Gela received a wide variety of guests in their cozy SV-wagon. The only thing is that politicians were not invited to the program. The whole show was based on the improvisation of the extraordinary and talkative Andriy Danylyk in the character of Serdyuchka.

Communicating with Verka was a real test of our stars' sense of humor. As it turned out, some artists don't know how to treat themselves with irony at all. Another ambiguous moment awaited the guests at the end of the program – they had to find themselves under the same blanket with Verka. Let's remind you that at the end of the episode, the cheerful presenter put her guests to bed – everything was like on a train. Many stars have been in bed with Serdyuchka 😉

Karaoke on the Square

Perhaps one of the longest-running shows in Ukraine, which has existed for almost 20 years! Yes, “Karaoke on the Square” first appeared on screens back in 1999, and ended only this year. The host and co-author of the project was the unchanged Igor Kondratyuk. Once, winning this program was the first stage for moving to “Chance”, and the consolation prize was a hat with money. Then the rules changed: the winner got money, the loser got chicken eggs.

Chance

The heroes who won “Karaoke on the Square” ended up in Shans. There, stylists, make-up artists, producers and presenters – Andriy Kuzmenko (Kuzma Skryabin) and Natalia Mogilevskaya – worked with them for one day. At the end of the day, each of the participants in a new stage image had to perform any song on stage. Viewers voted via SMS so that the newly minted stars would last as long as possible in the show, which survived ten seasons and was closed by the same SMS voting.

Taboo

Probably, there is no person in Ukraine who does not remember Mykola Veresnya with his trademark bald head in the “Taboo” talk show. Two opponents were invited to the 1+1 broadcast, and the host always asked the participants tricky and provocative questions.

No Taboo

The famous program, during the viewing of which even stout men cried. People with their problems came to the studio of the most sympathetic presenter Olga Gerasimyuk: some with poor health, some with failures in their personal lives, some complained about mean neighbors, and some – about a traitorous husband or a fortune-teller colleague. It became one of the most popular talk shows on Ukrainian television.

LG-Eureka

A program for true intellectuals, in which there was a real opportunity to win 32 thousand dollars to receive an education at any higher educational institution in the world. Students and schoolchildren demonstrated their knowledge in various disciplines, and in the breaks between the competitions of erudite people, the stars of Chance entertained.

Mykola's weather

And finally, the always relevant advice from Mykola Lutsenko: “Let problems and disagreements not make your life weather.”
