Have you often come across recommendations to add something to your washing machine besides regular washing powder to achieve perfect results? It really is!
Different products can improve the effect of washing depending on the situation. Let's find out what and in what cases should be added to achieve the best results. Advice was shared by the RBK-Ukraine – Styler project.
Lemon juice
If you're craving lemons, don't just make lemonade! Add a little lemon juice to your laundry to help remove stains. Lemon has a natural bleaching effect that will brighten whites and help remove rust. Only use it on whites, though, as it can discolor colored fabrics.
Salt
Salt is effective at removing blood, sauces, and grease stains. Soak blood-stained clothes in cold salt water, and sprinkle salt on greasy stains to absorb the grease before washing. Salt can also transfer the scents of essential oils to your laundry.
Baking soda
Baking soda not only refreshes the refrigerator, but also helps deodorize laundry. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda along with the washing powder at the beginning of the wash cycle.

Mouthwash
To keep your gym clothes smelling as fresh as your post-rinse breath, add a glass of sugar-free, alcohol-free fabric softener to your regular wash cycle to remove bacteria and dirt.
Vinegar
Vinegar is proven means in washing. It perfectly removes detergent residues. Add 1/2 cup of vinegar to the conditioner compartment during the final rinse.
Essential Oils
Essential oils are a natural way to fight bacteria, mold and mildew. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to vinegar or detergent to give your laundry a unique scent. However, due to their high cost, it is better to spray the clothes with oil after washing.
Alcohol
Alcohol is effective in removing ink stains. Apply some rubbing alcohol to the stain and leave it for a while, then rinse and wash the item.
Dishwashing detergent
A normal dishwashing detergent will help get rid of stubborn grease stains. Apply a drop of detergent to the stain before washing, and it will help the detergent to deal with the stain more effectively.
