A 33-year-old resident of the city of Brody will be tried in the Lviv region. He is accused of illegally selling weapons and ammunition.

The investigation established that the man purchased starter pistols, which he later converted to fire traumatic cartridges. He also modified standard traumatic cartridges equipped with rubber bullets, increasing their power.

The defendant sold weapons and ammunition via the Internet, sending the goods by mail under a fictitious name. The police documented several facts of the defendant's illegal sale of weapons and ammunition and detained the defendant.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched. The defendant faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
