A man who stole a smartphone from his colleague was caught in Kharkiv Oblast

The police have caught a resident of the city of Chuguyiv in the theft of a phone.

This is reported by the communications department of the National Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast.< /p>

According to the police, they were contacted by a woman who said that an unknown person stole her mobile phone for UAH 3,500 during work.

The police identified the attacker. He turned out to be a 46-year-old resident of the city of Chuguiv, who worked together with the victim.

As it turned out, the applicant left her phone on the windowsill next to the basement where the employees of the utility company worked that day.

< p>The victim's colleague took advantage of the fact that no one was watching his actions and stole the phone. Later, he deleted all the data from it.

The police seized the means of communication and handed it over to the owner.

On November 13, the investigators informed the man that he was suspected of committing a crime, provided for in Part 4 of Art. 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 8 years.
