From 2020 to 2022, more than 5 thousand Ukrainians publishing content on OnlyFans received more than $ 120 million in income. However, most of these earnings remain untaxed due to legal uncertainty.

This is emphasized by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, People's Deputy of Ukraine and First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, in his Telegram channel.

According to statistics, the income of Ukrainian authors on OnlyFans has increased sharply in three years:

  • 2020 – about $8 million,
  • 2021 – over $35 million,
  • 2022 – almost $80 million.

Zheleznyak noted that the OnlyFans platform already pays taxes on its part, but tax issues remain unsettled for Ukrainian models.

But “Ukrainian actors,” even if these people wanted to pay taxes, it is impossible. This is now a de facto surrender,
he explained, emphasizing the legal uncertainty in this area.

Recently, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 12191, which provides for the decriminalization of the creation and distribution of intimate content among adults. It changes the provisions of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding criminal liability for violations of public order and morality. This can ease the conditions for paying taxes from earnings on such platforms.

Let us remind you that earlier Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, emphasized the need to declare income from foreign platforms. He noted that non-payment of taxes can lead to additional taxes and fines.

Hetmantsev also said that recently one of the Ukrainian bloggers on OnlyFans paid a record amount of taxes on her own, and called on others to declare income received abroad.
