A schoolgirl stole a mobile phone in Odesa

The court found the student of Artsyz Lyceum No. 4 in Odesa region guilty of theft and sentenced her to five years in prison. However, taking into account a number of mitigating circumstances, he replaced the punishment with a probationary period.

Mahala reports this. with reference to the court register.

From the case file it is known that in the summer of this year, the schoolgirl, being with her friends near the “Fornetti” cafe, saw the phone lying near the music column and decided to appropriate it. She took the phone, put it in her bag, but was afraid that her bag might be checked, and hid it nearby in the bushes. Two days later, she returned for the phone, brought it home and told her grandmother, with whom she lives, that she had found the phone.

The grandmother ordered the girl to find the owner and return the phone, which she wanted to do, but on the way to the owner of the gadget she was detained by law enforcement officers.

At the court, the girl admitted her guilt and sincerely repented. The defendant's grandmother told the court that she was raising her granddaughter alone because her mother was a drinker. She asked not to be severely punished, because the girl committed a crime for the first time and sincerely repented.

The court took into account all the circumstances, as well as the fact that the victim has no complaints against the defendant, therefore replaced the actual term with a one-year probationary term.< /p>
