The government approved a new list of goods that Ukrainians will not be able to exchange or return

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a new list of goods that cannot be exchanged (returned). The government made the relevant decision at a meeting on Friday, November 1, to implement the norms of the new law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” adopted last year. .

Approved, in accordance with the fifth part of Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine dated 10.06.2023 No. 3153-IX “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”, the list of goods that are not subject to exchange (return) – reads the message.

At the same time, Cabinet Resolution No. 172 of March 19, 1994 “On the Implementation of Certain Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” is recognized as having lost its validity.

The new list of goods that buyers cannot return or exchange includes:

  • food products;
  • medicines;
  • tools personal hygiene;
  • cosmetic products and detergents.

At the same time, it is emphasized: all these goods cannot be returned or exchanged “without protective packaging, which prevents free access to such goods”.

The list also includes goods “cut or cut to the size determined by the consumer”.
