Japan launched a flagship missile from military satellite

On Monday, November 4, Japan launched its flagship H3 launch vehicle with a Ministry of Defense communications satellite on board.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Kyodo News.

It is noted that the launch, which was originally scheduled for October 20, was repeatedly postponed.

The H3 series of rockets is the successor to the current H2A launch vehicle, which has supported space development in Japan for more than 20 years.

The H3 debuted in March 2023, but its maiden flight ended in self-destruction due to a few minutes after takeoff due to a malfunction of the second stage engine.

In February and July of this year, rockets No. 2 and No. 3 of the H3 series were successfully launched.
