The exact copy, created in a limited series of 10 copies by Wayne Enterprises, will have a capacity of 525 hp and will be very similar to the original. It will also cost a cool $ 3 million.
Wayne Enterprises, in partnership with Action Vehicle Engineering, has created a limited edition of 10 Tumbler Batmobiles, each of which is an exact replica of the one used in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, writes RobbReport. This collaboration with Warner Bros. made many childhood dreams of a drivable (though not street-legal) and fully scaled comic book come true.
Each invitation-only Tumbler is expected to be produced 15 months from deposit to delivery. Every facet of its surface has been carefully studied to match the original, whose initial model was assembled from various sets of model cars, boats and airplanes.
Under the hood, a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine525 horsepower is paired with a 4L85E 6-speed transmission that should make quite the rumble. And while it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the real Batmobile, the car does feature a smoke screen delivery system and simulated gun turrets along its Kevlar, carbon fiber and sheet metal bodywork.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000From its earliest comic book appearances, Batman's vehicle – officially named the Batmobile in Detective Comics #48, published in February 1941 – has been synonymous with his adventures. It's only logical that Wayne Enterprises, which is also the name of the fictional Batman/Bruce Wayne company, wanted to take on the difficult task of recreating him.
Sponsored by DC Comics and its parent company Warner Bros., Wayne Enterprises specializes in curating elements billionaire Wayne's lifestyle, including technology, fashion, art, yachts and residences, to visitors to his website and exclusive live events. The latter takes place in an undisclosed Manhattan townhouse with seven floors of ready-to-ship Batman merchandise. While current law prohibits an owner from driving their own Tumblr, we bet more than a few members of Wayne Enterprises are still vying for one of those 10 spots.
Of course, it won't be cheap. After all, the Batmobile was conceived by a billionaire. Each of the 10 lucky owners will have to shell out $3 million to purchase their piece of Batman's iconic arsenal.
