Ukrainians who created and distributed child pornography face up to 15 years in prison

A 23-year-old woman organized a criminal «business» involving two acquaintances. Currently, the involvement of offenders in 56 criminal episodes has been documented.

The perpetrators produced pornography, including with the participation of minors, and distributed illegal content via messengers, for which they received up to 2,000 hryvnias per video clip, according to the Vinnytsia Oblast Main Department of National Police of Ukraine.

The court sent one of the suspects into custody, the women are under 24-hour house arrest.

In June, law enforcement officers exposed and detained a man and a woman, as well as a girl who helped them sell prohibited photos and videos. During the pre-trial investigation, investigators proved the involvement of the defendants in 56 criminal episodes, 12 of them as part of a criminal group.

“The other day, police investigators informed all three of their suspicions of manufacturing and storing for the purpose of distribution and sale of pornographic video products, child pornography, as well as recruiting minors for the purpose of exploitation in the pornographic business, committed repeatedly by an organized group (Parts 2, 3 of Article 301; Parts 3, 4 of Article 301-1; Part 2 of Article 149; Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 301-1; Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)”, – police say.

They face up to fifteen years in prison.
