The day before, the Moldovan Central Electoral Commission processed 100% of the ballots for the presidential elections and the European referendum.

The incumbent President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, won the first round of the elections with 42.45% of the votes. Since none of the 11 candidates received more than 50% of the votes, voters will vote in the second round on November 3.
