“The EU strongly condemns the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 31 October. It is in flagrant violation of numerous UN Security Council resolutions, as is the deployment of troops and arms to Russia in support of its aggressive war against Ukraine,” the document states.
The EU High Representative stresses that such actions endanger regional and international peace and violate the non-proliferation regime.
He called on the DPRK to immediately return to complying with its obligations under the resolutions of the UN Security Council, to give up nuclear weapons and other types of weapons of mass destruction, to curtail its ballistic missile development programs and existing nuclear programs, and to stop all related activities.
