Why you shouldn't buy iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 smartphones in China

Some stores have started importing iPhones, iPads and Macs from different countries, including China. However, not all devices can be purchased without fear of facing regional restrictions.

What else is known

With the release of iOS 18.1, the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 gained access to features Apple Intelligence. However, on devices for the Chinese market, with the letters CN/A in the model number, this function is not available. Also, Chinese smartphones do not support FaceTime Audio.

Changing IP address, SIM cards and other ways to bypass these restrictions will not lead to the desired result. Apple has confirmed that it is impossible to bypass these restrictions.

Owners of such iPhones can only wait for the appearance of Apple Intelligence in China. It is recommended to avoid Chinese smartphones with two physical SIM cards to use the neural network functions.
