Ukrainian performer Artem Pyvovarov launched a new project about Ukrainian poetry “TOPS” and presented a joint work with ONUKA “Today”. You have never seen Artem like this before!
After closing the project “Your poems, my notes”, Artem Pyvovarov launched a new project called “TOPS”. The first composition is already available on all music platforms.
The song was based on the poem of the same name by the representative of the “Shooted Revival”, the founder of Ukrainian futurism Mykhail Semenko.
The visualization of “Today” can hardly be called simply a clip. After all, during the video, viewers watch the reincarnations of Artem Pyvovarov and ONUKA. Both artists appear in 5 unusual images, and the events take place in a mysterious hotel where strange things happen.
Experiments are always a priority in my work, it is an integral element of my worldview. “Today” is a vivid proof of that. This work will delight connoisseurs of my early work and will come as a surprise to most. I like the poetry of Mykhailo Semenko, he was a rebel in the world of literature, so his poem was taken as a basis. I am very grateful to ONUKA for the trust, openness and courage to take part in this experiment, she complemented this work with her creative individuality, says Pyvovarov.

According to the plot, the main character is running away from the unknown pursuer, not fully understanding what is happening, why he is being followed and what to do. On his way, he meets various characters without realizing who they are. This is a story about personalities living inside the main character. The hotel represents the inner world of the hero and hides secrets, like any person in real life.

The story has no end: it is a loop of time in which the main character finally realizes that the one who persecuted him is himself and the only way out is to accept himself with all his sides.
< p class="quote">Many people know that I am not a person of duets. But times change, we change. Music and narratives are changing. Perhaps the moment has come when I became open to new possibilities that the space offers and that find a response in me. Why didn't I hesitate to agree to this project? Because I like the reinterpretation of Ukrainian literature, and I followed Artem's project. When he offered me this particular poem, I was immediately interested, because I liked it for a long time, – noted ONUKA.
