Ukraine is actively developing the latest technologies to combat Russian drones. Soon they will be delivered to the front line. Among these developments are special “hedgehog” backpacks and ground robots with “dome shields” capable of effectively neutralizing Russian drones.
Ukraine develops new forms of anti-drone combat every month
Serhii Skoryk, commercial director of Kvertus, said that he often works either directly on the front or in specialized laboratories with a high level of security, where defensive weapons are developed for the Ukrainian military.
In contrast to the long development times of new technologies in some Western countries, Ukraine has to create new solutions in just a few weeks to counter the constantly changing weapons of the enemy.
Skoryk says that in the conditions of war, new technologies must appear very quickly. One of the key products of Kvertus — a ground robot equipped with special antennas capable of blocking drone signals within a radius of up to 300 meters. This robot can not only neutralize drones, but also be used to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. The antennas create a “dome” of protection, blocking radio signals, and in the case of directed action, they can disable the drone at a distance of up to 10 km.
