The governments of Great Britain and Switzerland allocate 500 thousand dollars to support the project of prioritization in humanitarian demining. It is implemented by the company Palantir, which specializes in big data analytics.
This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Economy during the Conference on mine action in Ukraine UMAC-2024.
How prioritization will work
"Prioritization— one of the important processes in the construction of a complete system of anti-mine activity. Based on a large array of data processed by AI, we will be able to determine which areas should be demined first. The allocated money will go to support the pilot project in the Kharkiv region. It will allow checking the general logic and the prioritization algorithm developed by the Ukrainian team within one area.
After signing the project financing agreement, Ukrainian teams will have three months to test the prioritization system and, if discrepancies are found, to correct them.
