The use of walkie-talkies and pagers in airplanes has been banned in Iran. A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran told ISNA on October 12.

This decision was announced after a mass explosion of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah militants in Lebanon in September. The attack was attributed to Israel, but it denied its involvement in the incidents.
