The American media outlet took advantage of reports this Thursday, October 10, 2024 that Henry Cavill will join the cast of the film Voltron.Amazon MGM Studios' giant robot is getting its own live-action adaptation, and Henry Cavill will likely star. The action movie will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and also features Daniel Quinn-Toye, a hot newcomer who was noticed for his performance alongside Tom Holland in London's West End.
We don't know much about this live-action Voltron film. But if we refer to the work of its director, whose filmography includes films such as Dodgeball! Not even bad!, The Millers, a budding family, but above all a trio of films with Dwayne Johnson: Almost Secret Agents, Skyscraper, and Red Notice, we can expect action and a touch of humor. After Netflix and its “Voltron, the legendary defender””, an animated series produced by Dreamworks Animation aimed at younger audiences, it is now Amazon's turn to tackle robots from Japan.
