The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it killed Adham Jahut, a member of the Golan Terrorist Network, which operates within Hezbollah. The killing took place near the Syrian city of Quneitra.

The IDF says Jahut was handing over information to Hezbollah information from sources within the Syrian regime, as well as intelligence gathered on the Syrian front, to support operations against Israel in the Golan Heights, Reuters reports.

Israel captured the Golan Heights during the 1967 Middle East war. In 2019, then-US President Donald Trump signed a proclamation recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Syrian state television reported on Thursday night that Israel carried out airstrikes on an industrial facility in the Syrian city of Homs and a military facility near Hama, causing “some material damage.”

The strikes targeted a car factory in Homs and caused a fire, Syrian television reported, citing the facility's director, Amer Khalil.

Explosions were also heard in the Syrian city of Daraa and are currently under investigation, state media reported.
