E-scooter rental operators will have until October 25 to remove all their mobile devices from the streets of Madrid, the city hall said on Tuesday, after their users began to protest against reckless driving and chaotic parking, writes Reuters .
After the license was revoked last month, the city hall said that three foreign operators — Lime, Dott and Tier Mobility — failed to impose restrictions on the movement of their customers or monitor their parking to restore their licenses.

Lime and Dott said they have not received official notice from City Hall about the deadline.
Lime said that if they receive official notice, they will take appropriate action to comply. Dott said they will evaluate possible legal and operational actions after receiving the official document.
The scooter-sharing system has sparked opposition in cities around the world due to users' reckless driving on streets and sidewalks and haphazard parking that often leads to cluttering public places.
