The manufacturer of iPhone smartphones has created a luxury minivan

IT giant Foxconn, known for producing popular consumer electronics, including the iPhone, recently created the Foxtron automotive brand. In a short time, the company introduced three models: Model B, Model C, and now Model D – a large minivan (MPV) developed in collaboration with Pininfarina. The key goal of Foxtron – to offer other manufacturers a universal platform for different types of cars that can be adapted to specific needs, which will reduce development and production costs.

Model D is impressive with its dimensions : length 5190 mm, height 1995 mm, width 1785 mm, with a wheelbase of 3200 mm. This made it possible to create an extremely spacious and comfortable salon. The design of the body, developed by Pininfarina, combines elements of a crossover and an MPV. Particular attention is paid to aerodynamics, in particular, an interesting solution is a slot that directs air from the radiator grill to the windshield.

The Model D interior is designed with an emphasis on maximum passenger comfort. As for the technical characteristics, the Foxtron Model D is based on a new 800-volt architecture. In the version with two electric motors, the total power reaches 650 hp. The battery with a capacity of 110 kWh provides a range of up to 660 km according to the WLTP standard. An additional feature is the system of turning the rear wheels for better maneuverability.
