Prime Video has taken liberties with J.R.R. Tolkien's work, straying from the original material or inventing answers to questions left hanging by the author to develop the plot of the Rings of Power. This is the case of the Nazgûls, the future servants of Sauron to whom the latter will offer the nine rings of Men. The identity of one of them has a good chance of having been teased by the series!
That guy you already hate could be a Nazgûl
Season 2 of the Rings of Power revolved mainly around the design of the various magical artifacts by Celebrimbor and Sauron, whose manipulative talents proved grandiose. While leading the blacksmith by the nose, who did not realize anything (or did not want to realize anything), the Lord of Mordor sowed chaosin Middle-earth, whose worst drama is yet to come. Tolkien's fictional universe is in flames and blood, invaded by Orcs and threatened by a terrifying Evil… A question now haunts viewers, to which season 3 should answer: to whom will Sauron offer the nine rings of Men?

We know, however, that they are ancient Lords of Numenor, which leads us to mention Kemen, the son of Ar-Pharazon, the usurper of the throne. Enamored of Earien, the daughter of Elendil (of whom he is one of the most devious detractors), he is typically the kind of character that everyone hates. Deceitful, cowardly, ready to do anything to carve out a place for himself in the world, he would make a perfect target for Sauron. Especially since making him a Nazgûl shouldn't upset toxic fans of The Lord of the Rings, Kemen not being canonical. Not to mention that episode 5 predicts a terrible destiny for him: in the words that Pharazôn addresses to him, “Once, when you were on her breast, your mother prophesied that you would end badly”. This theory, put forward by our colleagues at Ecran Large, has a good chance of being true.
And you, what do you think?
