A woman discovered that a burglar broke into her house. The man hung out her laundry, put away her shopping and cooked food on her stove.

Damian Vojnilovic, 36, was jailed for 22 months at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday for the unusual theft from burglary in Monmouthshire on July 16. This is reported by the publication BBC.

The woman said she was too scared to stay in her own home after returning home from work to find things in her garden had been rearranged and her rubbish bin emptied.

Burglar left her a note saying “Don't worry, be happy, eat and scratch”. The court also heard that bird feeders had been filled and plant pots had been rearranged.

Inside the house, a pair of shoes was removed from the packaging and placed in a trash can. Prosecutor Alice Sykes said the meal was made from food from the woman's cupboard. The shopping was taken out of the bag and placed in the refrigerator, which was rearranged.

The kitchen utensils were placed in the trash can and a new one from the utility bag was placed in its place. The nozzles on the toothbrushes were changed, an empty bottle of wine was placed on the shelf, which had been drunk, and the floor was washed with a mop and bucket that were left unattended.

She spoke to her neighbor, who said she saw someone hanging around doing laundry. things In a personal statement, the victim said: “For two weeks after the crime, until he was caught, I lived in a state of heightened anxiety that I had never felt before.”

The second robbery

Tabitha Walker, defending Wojnilowicz, said her client was homeless at the time of the crimes and was experiencing a number of difficulties. She said he had apologized to the victims and for the harm he had caused them.

Sentencing, Judge Christian Jowett said: “This was a significant invasion of their homes.”< /p>

Voynilovych, who does not have a permanent place of residence, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary.
The court noted that he has four convictions, including assault, disorderly conduct and refusal to surrender.
